Not enough power points

Open-plan kitchens, a TV in every room, a home office that didn’t exist when the house was built, now an EV in the garage. The original wiring wasn’t sized for any of it. Extension leads snaking across the floor and double-adaptors stacked on each other are a hassle and a fire risk. Adding dedicated circuits and flush power points is a tidy half-day job. Aircon in bigger homes

Larger floor plans need more thought. Some Mount Ommaney homes have ducted systems put in back in the early 2000s that are now due for replacement or a zoning rethink. Others are bolting split systems onto rooms the original ducting never reached, a converted garage, a studio out the back, a west-facing bedroom that cooks in summer.
